72" BIGDOG Ventilator
Product Description The optional variable frequency drive allows a smooth speed adjustment from 300 RPM to 50 RPM. Power consumption ranges from 2,200 watts to 300 watts. The BIGDOG can be hung from the ceiling or post/wall mounted using optional post/wall mount hardware. The BIGDOG™ should be mounted at least 14 feet high, for optimal air distribution, and at least 8 feet from the ceiling to avoid choking the fan�s air supply. The BIGDOG™ can be mounted horizontally, with the deflectors spreading the heat both left and right, or can be mounted on an angle with the deflectors pointing in the same direction the fan is already pointing. At full power, the air speed at the fan outlet is approximately 1,500 FPM (feet per minute) with total airflow of approximately 45,000 cfm (cubic feet per minute) and with an efficiency of greater than 20 cfm/watt. High efficiency results from the shape of the fan�s venturi (cone) and the air straightening effect of the galvanized motor mounts. Air speed at ground level is dependent on the orientation of the deflectors, but can easily be in excess of a refreshing 100 FPM over an area 200' long by 35' wide, or 7,000 square feet. At full speed, the BIGDOG™ is a large area personnel or equipment cooler. At lower speed, the BIGDOG™ is an air de-stratifier, redistributing tapped hot air from the ceiling and dramatically reducing heating bills. Aquality�s 72" BIGDOG Ventilator is the right answer for large area cooling and de-stratification. Unlike HVLS (high volume, low speed) ceiling fans that move a lot of air very slowly with very little cooling effect, the 72" BIGDOG™ ventilator moves a lot of air (45,000+ cfm) at high speed for efficient and effective summer personnel or equipment cooling and can be also be slowed down to move less air more slowly for winter de-stratification (getting the trapped hot air down from the ceiling) for dramatic heating bill savings.
